I stopped my seasonique birth control during the second month pack. I started my period 5 days later?

I stopped my birth control cause Im going to TTC in September and I wanted to give it some time to get my body back to normal. Im going to start to chart my fertile days based on my last period. but my question is was it a "real" menstral period and not just spotting? It was a light period I would say. After I stopped the pill I started to get an increase in urination right before my period started. This usually happens to me shortly before my period comes.thanks for your help
